backward links?
hi
I have few domains linked each other like most of big sites do. My sites are PR 2-4. But google does not count any link from my other domains as a backward link. All 5 domains have the same IP, and I have no other ideas why google does not count these links (all are adult sites, and I put these links few months ago - no results so far) Any ideas ? thx in advance for any advice balas

balas - the "standard" that Google has used in the past has normally been to not show any backlinks less that a PR of 4 - however I have seen exceptions to this rule - but its a pretty good reference point - there is also some time lag between when a link goes up and becomes a PR4 before it is counted - again there is no set rule, but after about 3 major updates it should be there - sometimes sooner

plus.. Google has been a bit innacurate with back links lately... eg: not showing legit PR4 backlinks. Wether this is deliberate or and error, I dont know DD

but google still counts these links before PR4 and just does not show them or google does not care about links from sites with PR1,2,3 ?

Yes - unless Google has broken their normal algo like DDave posted - they do still count as backlinks - they are just not shown in the link:www.example.com query

It's been a good while since I've seen an actual PR update.
The last big SE update didn't have updated PR's from what I saw.

Seems ages since pr was updated, I thought it normally followed a backlinks update but that happened some weeks ago now and no sign of a pr update or a dance of any kind  Maybe those extra 1,000,000,000 listings have overloaded their servers - probably change to one update a year now - lol

I have to think that we are due right now for one - the last 6 PR and backlinks updates have ranged from 15-18 days apart - we're on day 23 since the last one
Course - maybe they are doing it behind the scenes on some new IP so no one can bitch ahead of time  |
