Cold Warning Tuesday (2015-01-13)

Good morning.

Right now it's -21C (and -30C with the wind chill) but it's going up to a high of -12C.

On days like this, I don't even take the dog for a walk. Yikes!

It's nice and quiet here -- the way I like it -- so other than exercise, I hope to get a lot of work done today.

Good Morning

Was up at 4am because I could not sleep and didn't want to disturb my wife's sleep since she is finally getting better. Soooo there is a very long nap coming real soon.

Unfortunately we had a couple of deaths in the family (distant relatives, one on each side) over this past weekend so there is a bunch of gatherings and the funerals to attend to that will keep me busy starting tonight through the rest of the week.

Not cold here, but I was woken up by severe storms last night. It's warm and muggy here which is very unusual for this time of year.

Robert, sorry to hear about deaths in te family, death just totally sucks.

Dropped my car off at the Chevy dealer this morning. Hopefully, it will get fixed this time. While I was waiting for a ride home I freaked out when I thought I saw a crack on my brand new iPhone, but it was just a hair laying on the screen.

Just put a new drive in a friend's Macbook and restoring from their TimeMachien backup. Not sure what they do to drives, but this is the third failed drive in less than two years.

Since I have no car toady and it's storming out just going to spend the day working.

Some time back I stopped using the coffee shop on the station as he got new staff and the service became lousy. Apparently he has fired the staff and is trying to get his old customers back. So while I was waiting for a train he came out to give me a free coffee. Always a good start to the day - being given free coffee!

On the downside, they are threatening snow tomorrow. Shit.
