I wonder what's in their Closet??

The 9 appointed-for-life old men and women in Washington who are supposed to be upholding our constitution have before them today a case that could put us all in jeopardy regarding our sites:

it's another round in "attempt to ram it down their throats".... the good news is that there is more than adequate proof that this law doesn't meet the constitutional requirements to be enforced, mostly because it limits legal speech.

Someone should just pass a law saying that the internet is an "adult" zone, and that accessing the web by a minor should be surpervised by an adult. Allowing children access to the net unsupervised would relieve the website operators from any responsibility for the websites they choose to access.

No different than restricting bars to adults, even if the adults aren't drinking.

I think our industry would do itself a big favor to, rather than supporting a .XXX domain registry to instead create and actively support a .KIDS TLD that would allow only kidproof sites. With a small adjustement to the IE broswer, it would be possible to restrict children to only these domains. These could be "paired up" with existing .com domains, and everything would work out well.

Rather than trying to create a redlight district, let's build a playground. Kids shouldn't be free to play in traffic or to wander shopping malls without supervision.

In the meantime -
They did decide that Pot can be issued with a prescription for medicinal purposes.
The way things are going now, I don't plan on any reelection celebrations happening.
Though on a side note - there is a new C/D out with 9 hours of privately taped conversation with the Pres.
From FDR to Nixon
If you listen to public radio, they had some previews on there.
May change some of your history lessons.
