Recip tables..tips???

Having spent the best part of the weekend making up recip tables for one of my niches and then submitting them (now discovered Roboform to speed that bit up) has anyone got any tips on a quick way of getting all the recip links?I don't suppose anyone has ever published a catagorised list of recips have they?

How many linklists to people normally submit to for each site?

You should use special software for submittions, trying to submit manually is pain in the ass. Recips grouping and placing them into your template should handle such programm as well (it takes about 30 seconds to generate warning pages with recips).
I for example submit to 90 LL, the programm fills data in the forms i check it visually and then press submit button takes about 10-20 second for each site.

Do you have any problem with my method of submittion ? It's not autosubmittion as you might think (autosubmittion is when press submit button and it goes on without you can control it) Here is absolutely different situation, I check that all the data in the form is filled correclty and only then I press submit button. See the difference ?
(By the way I don't submit to your LL You haven't got any traffic there)

X-Drive, then be more careful when you explain your methodology, especially when you are responding to a newbie. Newbies should do everything manually for quite a while before they start using the tools you are speaking of. I've been doing this for a day or two and I do it all manually. It's really not a pain in the ass.

Well, I agree with on that. Every newbie should make few first submissions manually to get the idea, only then it's appropriate to use special software just to make it easier.

It depends on how many link lists you submit to. If you have 130, it will take two days and you probably end up with nervous breakdown before you finish.

ah that would make it simpler.. |cool|

I suppose i am making a basic newbie mistake by submitting to every list i can find.

I suppose what i should do is check the stats of the ones i am listed with in a week or so and then just use the 20 or so ones that are sending consistant traffic

Well you wrong. Before you add LL to you db you should check Alexa trafic details and PR (there are a lot of dead or really small ones), only then you submit to it and even later after one month, (because it takes up to 2-3 week to get approved by PenisBot for example ) you check the stats.

2Rocco: Belive me you loose a lot of trafic submiting only to 16 LL.

AleXXXa...
as one newbie to another, I have found there is no easy way to do this...after a few months of submitting I have put together niche recip tables of my own & can now just cut and paste into my freesites, but that will take a while depending on how many niches you submit to. After about 2 months or so I go back & revamp, depending on my stats...if a LL shows up in my referrals I keep it, if not it goes (keeping in mind some of the greatest traffic producers can take even up to 2 months to get listed).
It's definitely an ongoing process, but I submit to about 60-90 LLs at any given time & it takes about an hour by hand, so not too bad.
I use this board extensively to add to (or delete from) my submit list...and keep up on who's changed what.
Other than that, trial & error & pluggin away is the best bet

You can use SSI for recip tables. i will change to it soon. Iīm not sure if it allowed, but Iīm pretty sure itīs OK, because itīs a tutorial on vnwr.

Here is the link. I hope itīs ok to link to another board. I read the rules and couldnīt find that it isnīt:

frankthetank -
If my browser hangs up while your SSI is being called, auto decline.
I need to control what's being seen. Not that you would, but if someone changes SSI recips to CP or other sites, I wouldn't know.

Do it right with straight html, take the time, hand submit. It's not that hard.

At the moment Iīm doing copy and paste. I only read it at vnwr and so I thought it would be OK. It would make it easier to change recip tables if a linklist disappears.

I have to admit that I didnīt think about changing links to illegal sites, but I see the danger. So itīs maybe not a good idea to use SSI.

Currently I've got 18 grids of 9 Recips each. I submit manually (with the aid of Roboform) and it takes me about 2 hours of hard slog, which isn't too bad. I continually check traffic and also to see if I'm listed at all. Not a week goes by that I don't change one or more of my grids. I can't put it better than Pony Girl: 'trial & error & pluggin away is the best bet'.
Cheers

I am using SSI for the recips. When someone looks at the source code, the tag referring to SSI does not show up, only the HTML for the recips (called by the SSI) shows up.

I don't see why this would be a problem as long as the webmaster listing you has some sort of script to check every once in awhile to make sure their recip is still up.

If you get into the recip table building option...you could look at this http://www.recipbuilder.com/index.php as one of a few solutions. I also have a list of link lists and directories (including mine ....hehe...)...PM and I can direct you to another option.

Submitting manually (as I see some said here) is something you don't want to do too long...because if you start getting into the big lists, this is probably the one thing that will take longer than even making free sites. But does provide a good way to learn it and streamline your efforts (to a point).

Any questions...PM me.
