At least the weather is looking up for the Northeast

The northeast U.S. coast could be the target of a major hurricane, perhaps as early as this season, according to research announced today by the AccuWeather.com Hurricane Center. In terms of number of storms, the 2006 hurricane season will again be more active than normal, but less active than last summer's historic storm season. |

Part of this might be me not paying attention when I was younger, but in the last 2 years, we've had 4 instances where we've had hurricane strength winds & I do not ever remember the winds being that strong in my 35 years of living in Western New York.
This winter stunk too - hardly any snow & when it did pile up, it's climb into the 40's or 50's a few days later & melt away. Personally, I blame Bush ![]() |

I agreed GG, as a kid I do not ever remember so many strong storms, or warm winters fallowed by cold snowy springs.
But I could be wrong. |
