I'm Considering

Hi everyone, newbies first question so be gentle
Ok so I've been reading, and reading, and reading, there is just so much great info here, so much so my head is spinning..

I have to admit I'm more confused then when I started.

Ok question; I would appreciate any feedback or info you all have regarding this company, should I buy into this? http://www.profitadult.com

I'm considering simply buying into one of their package "turn-key" deals. Then spending some money for advertising to jump start things and possibly if they'll allow it have someone rebuild the tour pages for whatever sites I buy into.

Their content and feeds within the members section seam to be worth way more then the purchase price and maintenance fees. Of course with them taking an additional 20% I guess they have a vested interest in their customers success, they don't make much if their customers don't.

Thanks in advance for your input.

ok, here's some gentle advice:
RUN! RUN FAST!

seriously, I don't know this company but you'll find lots of information against buying into turn-key businesses in adult. The only real way to get into this business is to start at the bottom & learn everything you can. Don't blow a pile of money. Start cheap, grow with your profits.

this is the best place to find information on how to start - maybe starting with the newbie section & go from there, and post with any specific questions you have.

Agreed. In fact I just met someone last night who has a ton of money. After a few drinks I was confortable enough with them to let them know I'm an adult WM. They instantly started asking questions about the $$$. I explained it's no differant then any other business. IE hard work make money. No work make no money. They told me they would be interested in tossing me some $$ to put up a website and run it. I told them no. I have a hard enough time with my own and I don't like taking money from people who are not interested in knowing the ins/outs of a business. If it fails they place all the blame on me. Anyway long story short a few more drinks and the person was willing to drop me 10k to start up the site and another 10k once it's running to turn it over to him. I told him there are alot of turn-key sites that will take that money and run. Leaving him with junk. Then I told him if he really wanted to play the game, contact me in 6 months after some research then we can play. He told me yeah would be dumb to toss money at something I really know nothing about.. Smartest thing he said all night. God how can stupid people get to be rich?

FUBAR, some decent advice in those two posts.

Knowledge=power. The more you learn, the faster you learn, not unlike evolution itself, it becomes more complex and successful with each and every peice of accumulating information.

You will find that after a few months the industry has lost much of its mystique and you are able to discern the frauds and charlatans of which their are many, form the honest and forthright. and let me tell you, honest webmasters are worth their weight in gold, you have stumbled across the right board for sure.

Study, study, study. And when you're done,....study some more. Knowledge never hurts, only helps. At that stage, you can be prepared to dump money into a project.

So nothing of substance and quality comes easily.
Anything worth doing is worth doing right.

I get it. I do.

I just need to re-establish some cash flow and figured most of the work would be done, except for marketing by going with a turn-key solution.

While my newbie status as an adult webmaster building pages and or sites is true I am not new to the industry. For the past 9 years I've worked behind the scenes doing photography, video editing, customer support and managing of a few content sales sites now closed due to the owners either selling out or getting freaked by the new regulations of 18usc2257 and closing down the site. Anyone who has purchased content from Licensed Content, CdBabes, Fetishbrokers or David Lace has had dealings (hopefully positive) with me.

I've always applied myself to the task at hand and I guess learning to build sites and submit pages will be no different.

Still it's human nature to fall back to what you know so I'll ask you all if you know of anyone/company who needs photo-retouching, video editing or if need be photography on an on-going basis. I'm not really looking for a quick fix I need to find something to pay the bills with.

Reading some of the posts in this newbie section has shone me one thing and that is that there is nothing in supporting affiliate programs that is going to happen overnight it's going to be a long, hard road to success. And I'm sure the goal can be achived with dedication and hardwork. As I said above anything of quality takes time and dedication to achieve.

Thanks to all for your responses.

Kids are great, Appu. You can teach them to hate the things you hate and they practically raise themselves now-a-days, you know, with the internet and all

Just wondering if you see such kind of a site, how do you realy can think to buy something there? Specialy if you are already 9 Years within the biz - even behind the scenes.

But, if you have photos left in print quality for magazine usage and web usage, this might be interesting for you: http://www.greatsexcontent.dk/webmas...nfo_Pages.html
