Changing Host Moving Domain Checklist

Biting the bullet and changing hosts on misterwalrus and I want to make sure that I have all the steps covered as to save myself more angst than necessary....and yes, I could have the new host move things for me but I much prefer to be self-sufficient.

1) Download entire site from old host.
2) Go into phpMyAdmin and backup / export current databases
3) verify all e-mail address's
4) Create new e-mails on new host
5) Upload entire site to new host
6) Go into CPanel and create databases
7) Go into phpMyAdmin and import databases
8) edit config files to reflect new database username password database name
9 )Test the living shit out of it.
10) change DNS info.
11) After new DNS resolves, recreate subdomains

Am I overlooking something here?

Whats going to make this really interesting is there is a 9a) convert blogs to WP and 9b) test living shit out of it again but I left those steps out of the above simply cause....shit simply cause.

Here was how my last hosting move went.

1) ICQ cd34 with my old servers ftp & database login info.

2) Eat dinner

3) Go to bed.

4) Have sex with the misses.

5) Wake up the next day to a message saying that I can change the DNS nameservers at my registrar.

Sorry I'm not a lot of help here Walrus, but good luck on the move.

All i have to add is to check the permissions on anything that might need to be written to... it's the only thing that caught me when I switched hosts.
