linux users?
Just curious as to how many linux users are here. I am currently trying to move to linux, playing with ubuntu right now but having issues that will just take a bit of researching to fix.
Always got my vista as backup though ![]()

I'm a Mac user but I did install Debian/linix into Parallels so to play around with it.
Real easy to install and it came with Open office, Gimp, Iceweasel browser, and a few other goodies. The only issue I had was I couldn't get the screen resolution to go beyond 1024x768 but that was probably due to my lack of knowledge. |

Like Cleo I am a convert to Mac. I cannot stand using or looking at Windows these days. However, for those looking to get away from Windows, Ubuntu, Kbuntu are the ones I would go with (preferably kbuntu because its more like mac).
Worst case scenario you can now get an Intel based Mac-Mini and dual boot windows/mac while you try it out. I run Ubuntu here for a local development platform and have two macs I use for my day to day operations. |
