Creating a new network of blogs

Hi!
I would like to build a network of blogs with 1 or 2 main blogs and a few feeder blogs.
I was wondering I should use free domains like xlogz.com or rather create subdomains in on of my domains I use to submit galleries to TGP?

If you use subdomains you'll always have full control of your own sites. With free services you never know.

I'm thinking about creating a main blog on the domain I use to submit galleries, and then create sponsor's feed blog's on subdomains. Do you think this would work?
Should I put a recip to the main blog on the galleries I submit, ot just hope for the surfers to check out the main page that appears yn the address bar?

I agree with everything Fonz said.
I'm not sure if a main domain with subdomain's or a main domain with categories is the best way to go.

or
http://www.domain.com, http://www.domain.com/blog1/ http://www.domain.com/blog2/

I've set up two blog networks in the last couple weeks with a 100 plus in each using the two models above, categories is a much faster setup.
I'll let you know in a couple months witch way the search engines likes the most

I've been a man on a mission, the wife now asks me if I've eaten and taken a shower when she gets home from work and the dog has stopped trying to let me know he has to go and now pisses in the kitchen and craps in the living room.
I'm up to the c's in adding individual meta tags and feed buttons, probable finish that phase sometime tomorrow (scary because I can no longer do global changes to the template).
Then I need to add plurals to the highlighted keywords (woops) and switch from “oldest to newest” to “newest to oldest” in BA.
Then I need to get a feedburner feed and submit each sub domain to tecnorati to get the ball rolling on this one
Then I need to tweak the one with categories instead of sub domains.
When that's all done I have a pornstar database that I spent a couple weeks building to add to them, that should take a couple more weeks.

Things I've learned in the last two weeks, there are three k's in Bukkake and 1400 people a day do a search for butt plug.
What I plan to learn for once and for all is if splogging is a waste of time (I know what your results have been, mine have been worse)

I'm glad you took my comments as intended.

I'm just starting trying something a little different. We should sit down and compare notes sometime around March and see if we can improve our splogging success's.

But one of the first things I learned is I need a new way to catelog sponsors and feeds. Hopefully, sometime in December I'll have something cool to show off in the realm of resource sites.

Damn, Pat - I wish I had a quarter of your focus. I get all kinds of schemes going in my mind but I'll damned if I can keep working on the same project for very long.

I know what you mean about cataloging sponsors feeds but I couldn't come up with anything.

Have a BA question for you, Kaktus told me that setting "Campaigns Pick Unique Entries ONLY" to "no" is easier on the server, but I don't like seeing the same feed post in multiple categories and switched to unique only today. Are you doing Unique only, and if so is it putting a noticable load on your searver?

T Pat...I think it is kind of like the difference of having one big website or lots of small ones. The subdomains shouldbe viewed by the SEs as separate websites whereas with subdirectories it should appears as one big deep site. I would be very interested to know what your results are between the two methods...

I just don't know if a site that adds 100+ posts a day will get more love from the search engines than 100+ subdomains that are adding a post a day, and if the subdomains do better is it enough to justify all the extra work involved.|confused|
