Mental Ernie - Need Tips & Pointers

hey guys,

just registered after some lurking (great board btw) and since I've seen alot of nice and helpful people in here I thought I'd ask for some advice too.
My site has been online now for a few weeks, gets decent traffic (for what I'm used to anyway) but it doesn't really make me any money. I dunno what I'm doing wrong, bad traffic or sponsors, bad gallery building, I have no clue.
So if anyone could give me some tips it'd be very much appreciated. Site is www.strippingbabes.net

1st off, it looks like you have some database issues if you go to http://www.strippingbabes.net/ but http://www.strippingbabes.net/index.php seems to work a lot better You can have your host set it up so that anyone looking for index.html gets the index.php page instead.

Now, let's get to the site set up:

1 - I'd get a warning page on there - if for no other reason, you'll have another page to slap a couple of ads

2 - once you get a decent amount of submits, that 1st page is gonna fill up fast. You might want to split the gallery listings into the categories that you have & link to them form the mian page. This would clean up that poage a bit (not that it needs cleaning now, but it will once you get some submits/listings) It would also give you an opportunity to put very specific ads on the category pages (blonde, brunette, lesbian, etc)

3 - the bottom 4 thumbnail ads - I'd edit those pics os that they are all the same size (looks a little odd right now)

Also, please don;t think that I don't like the current design - it is very good Just that I think it could be better

Now, seeing as I did drift a bit off topic there - - LOL - let's get to your question, or at least get the ball rolling. How much traffic are you getting to the site each day?

1. Really? I've always heard that warning pages are shit and just drive your visitors away.

2. I don't accept submissions actually, all those galleries you see listed are all mine. The idea was to keep all signups under my ref code and thus get the most cash possible out of my surfers.
Do you think it would be a good idea to use other ppl's galleries, to increase content and visitors?

Currently I'm getting 2-3k uniques a day. Not much compared to you guys but that's why I'm posting this in the newbie forum

Ok - that explains a few things

1 - I'm a big believer in the warning page. As long as the surfer can see the enter link without scrolling, you'll be safe (and like I said, you'll have an extra page of ads)

2 - I did not know this was a hub/personal site - which is fine, we all have them - sorry I assumed it was open the the public. I still think my idea of splitting them into seperate categories is a good one - hell, you could also link directly to those pages from a gallery or free site that you built (link to the brunette section from a brunette gallery) You could even go a step further & make a waring page for each category

As far as opening it to the public, that's all up to you. There are pros & cons, but if you're feeding it a decent amount of traffic right now, just keep it for yourslef & then re-evaluate it down the road

3 - 2-3k unique a day is nothing to sneeze at

I think you had a thread going where a couple of us spoke about how your galleries are st up. I still think that header is way too big for a gallery page. I think you could easily shrink it done to about 1/2 it's size, load it on the top left, have 2 thumbs next to it on the right, then 2 rows of 4, then 2 thumbs on the bottom left with some suggestive text on the bottom right.

I get the feeling that you're a TGP when I look at the 1st page, but after looking at the galleries, I get the feeling that you're jsut a large free site. You mgiht want to either change up the templates on the galleries (use 10 or 12 different versions) or add in some sponsor hosted galleries.
