Changing hosts...

Just a heads up for my trade partners and submitters, I'll be moving my sites to a new host over the next few days so there may be some intermittent glitches during the transition.

Sounds like there's a lot of host changing going on these days. Mine is almost done and it's been a nightmare! Hope all goes well with your move Toby.

No no no, I don't need any nightmares. |shocking|

This is something I've known that I needed to do for some time, but have been dreading.

I got a chance to sit down with Brad Mitchell from MojoHost while at Cybernet Expo, express my concerns, and he had all the right answers. I'll end up with better box, more bandwidth, on a faster pipe, better customer service, all for less money than I was paying before.

You should have very few (if any) problems with the move to MojoHost. I've been with em 5 or 6 years now and they have a really good support staff.

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

I am just a small fish, but I strongly recommend MojoHost and Brad. I am in the family since nov 2007 but the service is flawless and Brad will give you an unbeatable offer for sure. Top Notch company! Look for them @ 3letter board, not a bad word about them.

Update: It's taking a bit longer than expected to get files transferred, but we're getting close to having things ready on the new box.

Update to the Update: Transfer to MojoHost is complete and all script glitches and other problems* have been resolved. So let's get back to makin' bling!

*one of those other problems was an obscure bug in my email client (Eudora Pro) that caused it not to authenticate properly when sending email. The solution was pretty simple, adding a line to the eudora.ini file, but took most of the morning to track down.

Well, it seems my timing was pretty good. My old host has announced they're closing the doors Aug. 21. If I hadn't decided to change hosts on my own, I'd have had to do so anyway.
