My husband found this article in one of the tabloids today. It seems someone figured out that they found an old emergency phone in an elevator that had not been upgraded. It was able to make calls to any number and not just to emergency services. They had to have been bored because they made several phone calls - to erotic chat lines. The management company didn't find out until they got a bill for 1500 euros - roughly 1500 dollars depending on when you check the exchange rates. They said that elevator is now out of service, and that they will change the phone.

Makes you wonder... how did someone not notice that elevator was tied up for over 20 minutes? They also didn't say which building, sadly. The thrill must have been making the calls. This country is odd - we go to sauna naked with strangers, but we rarely talk to each other.

Oh, yeah... and Finland just kicked Russia's rear in the Ice Hockey world championship. Seems even the two NHL guys that flew back to Russia to help could not make a difference. We meet either the US or Canada for the gold. I'm thinking it will be a rematch of the Finland-Canada game.
