Convert from email
Any ideias to get convertion from an email opt-in
list? This is not a bought email list, i'm building the list my self, the visitors to my site are supplying their email addresses on their own free will. When they supply the email they are looking for an answer to something i have in my site, i'm not telling them that they will receive further emails than the one they think, but i have a TOS and in there it says that by supllying their email address they will receive further emails. I have a way to opt-out them so there's no problem with that. The emails i have ( and will have a lot more ) are from visitors all over the world, every country! So tell me : how do i convert with this kindaof list ? |

You're asking how you convert spam using a list that they probably don't know that they are on?

Simple opt-in is no longer good enough, even if you have a "remove me" link. If you want to sell this way it must be double opt in, i.e., you must send them an e-mail that has a confirm link on it and not add them to your list until they confirm. Nearly all sponsors will cut you off (and many refuse to pay you what they already owe you) if you spam via a method that is not double opt in.
Also, you will get poor conversions if you have the spam info "hidden" in your T&C. Nowadays the majority of people ignore spam or deliberately do not buy via it even if it is something they desperately want. To convert spam your recipient has to think he asked for the e-mail. To do this make him very aware that he is going to get the spam at sign up, brand it so that he remembers he asked for it, then make sure he is aware that it is you in each e-mail. And also make it look like it is a good thing for him to receive your spam. For example at the sign up say something like "For your convenience, as well as answering your question we will also continue to send you useful information and offers via Bongo Email until you ask us not to. Bongo Email is the premier supplier of free information and hard to get offers on the web" Then at the top of all your spam e-mails start with something like "Here is your latest newsletter from Bongo Email, the premier supplier of free information and hard to get offers on the web" (That is not the best example, it was a spur of the moment thing, I am sure you can word it better.) |

Also be very careful of spelling and layout. After I posted I noticed a spelling mistake in your first post and also that it is badly laid out. That is fine for posting on the boards, but not if you are trying to sell something via e-mail. Most recipients will assume you are trying to break through their spam filters and infer from this that you are a con men, so not buy from you.
Remember in the eyes of most people, spammers are guilty until proven innocent. If you want to sell them anything you must first convince them that you are honest, before even beginning your spiel. If you cannot do this, you are wasting your time. |

You don't require any form of traditional opt-in proof under can-spam laws... If these people are requesting any form of legal service or product they now have a business relationship with Hijaker and as far as can-spam is concerned, are just fine to mail to. Sponsors beg for mail traffic... dont kid yourself that many programs refuse this sort fo traffic... Send emails to 10 of the biggest programs asking if they want your traffic... you WILL get 5 answers back with bullet proof hosted URLs to send your email traffic to. The only problem he would have sending email to that list is complaints going to the host he sends email from.. and that isnt a hard problem to solve with money. Hijaker.... If you can so easilly attract 400k clicks per day.. I personally wouldnt be trying to fuck about with emailling. But If you can show you are collecting 50-100k addresses per month, I would contact a few of the active email buying programs and do a deal for them to pre-pay buy the emails in bulk.. and let them tell you what collection box and terms they want... I would expect to get between 10-50 cents per name like that as a rough guide. All of that is kind of academic if your site is promising people access to stolen passwords or illegal content though.... which is what I suspect you must be doing to have the numbers you claim. |
