Keyword density program?

Hi all, I'm looking for a standalone keyword density program or better yet a wrapper script that can generate keywords according to popularity within said wrapped page on the fly complete with stopwords? ( wishful thinking ) No web based spider style scripts please. Any pointers?

Well then you don't understand what I want.. it has nothing whatsoever to do with spam, and I don't appreciate the accusation. What I want is a program that will take the contents of a webpage, figure out each unique word or phrase on a given page and how many times it occurs within the page, and build meta tags from those words with higher relevance and priority given to the words that occur most often. Not only that but I would imagine there is a 'sweet spot' as far as how often a keyword can occur on a page before it is considered spammy by the search engines and it could be VERY beneficial to find that sweet spot. It's simply an intuitive approach to targetting keywords based on actual data rather then blindly hoping what I do seo wise will please the search engine gods.

edit: Looking over my first post I can see how you might have thought I was looking to spam the se's .. i should have said "...that can generate keyword meta tags according to popularity.."

I personally don't understand why any one would want to leave the generation of important data such as keywords or meta, to a script, of course just my opinion. I'd rather do it by hand and have a better chance of it being more natural...

First of all, controlling keyword density will not get you far with Google or Yahoo. There's definitely a sweet spot, and for all engines, more repetition means higher ranking up to a certain point, but unless you're writing a spam script, that sweet spot is irrelevant.

There's nothing wrong with doing some keyword research and sprinkling your page with related keywords here and there, but you're shooting yourself in the foot if you spend time running keyword analyzers. You rank higher by generating natural incoming links. So, your primary concern should be creating linkworthy content.

Second, Both Google and MSN ignore META tags when ranking sites. You'll rank higher with Yahoo, but the boost is insignificant unless you're working with bottom fishing spam.

If you want to rank higher, work on off-page optimization.

META tags are now old-hat. AFAIK, no major search engine uses keyword meta anymore. However, Google and some others use the meta description for the display in the SERPS but this data isn't indexed with any positive value.

The most useful thing to do is to write the description yourself and concentrate on getting text content in your pages. As they always say "content is king".
