debian / mplayer expert wanted asap
who can help us out? we got a content manager that uses rpm files and we got almost all fixed just not mplayer on debian while all files are instaleed as they should. but it just want to make thumbs of the videos.

I'm by no means an expert but doesn't Debian use .deb files instead of .rpm files.
I use Kubuntu. When I want a screen shot I press Print Screen. |

What isn't working with mplayer, did you install mplayer from the debs?
http://debian-multimedia.org/ in my /etc/apt/sources.list I have: Code:
# AV stuff deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org sid main apt-get install mplayer w32codecs And you should be good to go.
