How many recips?
Hi guys
For building FS, what is an average number of recips to have listed on your index page? What would be considered to be the max? Red Raven |

I've been using 4 x 5 text links lately. I asked this question a while back, and the answers I got was something along the lines of as long as it doesn't look like shit, there's no hard and fast rule. Some of my best submitters use 24. If you use the graphical style, it's hard...at least for me...to get anything over 12 looking decent.

I like em all 3x4,4x4,4x5 (some get denied 4 x 5 ). No more then 20
Less recips = more traffic back to your site I've been making 2 freesites per day because I need some real estate on the index page. Slowly trying to get away from mirroring but that's impossible some days. When I make a good one and I'm proud of it. I want everybody to see it.

I would say by the answers Ive seen on here during other topic discussions. That As long as it looks good, there is no real set numbers but if I were you to play it safe Id keep it somewhere between 9(the very minimum) and 20(the very maximum)

If you are just starting out it is better to be listed, by building a good freesite, than worrying about how many recips to put on your freesite.
My opinion is to start with 9 to 12 and make sure you are getting listed at the bigger linklists. Once this is happening consistently you should be able to move up to 16 to 20 without that many problems. Of course, they should definitely be custom text recips at that time. The key is, as stated earlier, "as long as it doesn't look like shit." Good Luck |

I like to break the tables, for variety. Yesterday I actually put the recips one after the other - no table - with breaks between them, so they form a nice column. I do up to 20, because I only make one version for each site - no doorways - and all text, so not too cluttered.

The most I've ever used with graphical recips is 12 and the most I've used with text links is 20. I like text links better as I think they look neater especially when you have between 16 and 20 on a page.
