Hosting Question

I'm Looking To Change Hosts For A Couple Of My Sites And Im In Need Of Some Feedback.
My Current Host Who I Will Leave Unnamed Is Popping Errors Saying Too Many Connections Randomly. I Just Used Them To Get The Sites Off The Ground And Its Time To Upgrade To Hopefully A Little Better Host.

Im Looking At

Naked Hosting $12.95 Month Plan

Or

Hostgator's Business Plan For $14.95 A Month

I've been using $10/month hostgator shared hosting that claims "unlimited bandwidth". Of course we know that's not true, however I hit about 60gig of bandwidth no complaints. I would imagine anything over 100gig might raise some flags with them on the shared hosting.

I've used them for years on some mainstream stuff, only a few hours per year of downtime. Support is also very good - always able to get live chat with them. I never had to call or email.

I added webair for $10/month with 400gig/bandwidth month. Seems to be pretty good, but I do get the occasional slow down that I never experienced with hostgator. I also got the too many connections once, but figured it was just dreamweaver and chameleon being logged in ftp at the same time.

Im over 100gigs with host gator and I have had no problems. Matter of fact when I was setting up my account I talked to a adult webmaster who was on their help desk and he said he has used them for years.

I've been with Colo-cation a long time, and I've never had a hosting worry since I switched over them. I know they get mentioned as the host of choice around here a lot, and it may seem corny at this point, but there's a reason so many people suggest them, and why I proudly have them in my sig without a referral link even though they do have an affiliate program. For virtual accounts, there are very few clients per machine, and they give you 20Gb of Disk Space.

Same here, no problems, no worries, great support even with issues not directly tied to hosting, also huge space makes them

great host worth for recommendation.

I agree 100% Useless thats a bush league move IMHO and its obvious, as more than half the replies point to Colo but yet the decision was made to go with HG - oh and wait, he uses redirects in his links.. Really?

First Off, Yeah Of Course I Put My Referral Links, Why Wouldn't I Seeing How I Run A Tubesite Resources Site.

Secondly Hostgator & Naked Hosting Both Post Their Plans In A Simple Manner To Understand For Noobs Like Myself Unlike Colocation.

Colocation Seems To Be More Than I Need At The Moment And Would Probably Be The Next Step Somewhere Down The Line.

Also My Post Specifically Asked About Those 2 Hosting Providers.

You Can Call This Post Whatever You Want As Far As Im Concerned, I Did In Fact Sign Up With Hostgator Last Night For The First Time. But Hey Thanks For The Attitude And Bullshit Remarks. Just What People Are Looking For When Asking For Help.

The problem is most people asking for help don't look to monetize their choices..especially with redirects - so you just didn't add your link codes you had to create the redirects, etc. So it looks as if there were ulterior motives. You can spin it however you want.

Anyone think colo-cation is better than Linode?

Personally, I've always been sceptical of places that don't tell you how many accounts per server, server specs, etc. for a VPS.
