I'm doing something wrong....
Hi everybody!
 I decided to make a post here to see if I could get some input on my "free-site" building project. I have been doing it from time to time and tried to do it more frequent lately, but the sales are really horrible...... I guess I'm doing something wrong, but I really don't have a clue what it can be. I am submitting to about 150 LL and get listed at a lot of them. Traffic is so so.. It seems to me that I get traffic to the sites, but not as much clicks to the sponsors. Could it be overused sponsors? Well, any suggestions is appriciated! I am making about....well, it is up and down, but I guess an average of $ 35,- pr week!! They look fine to me.
You're making more $$$ than me so you are doing things "more right" than I am! The only thing I would say is that it looks like you're using the same template/design for your sites. Change it around a little so it doesn't look like everyone elses. Just my 2 cents, I could be wrong, but since I have changed the look of my sites, I am getting more traffic and being accepted at more LL's. I get turned down for overused sponsor content too, so I figure its time to spend some $$ and buy some. Maybe the pros will wake up from their naps and give you some help. Good luck. Nina |

You've got a lot of sales text on some of those sites, too much IMO. You want the surfer off your page and onto your sponsor's as quickly as humanly possible. A couple lines of well constructed sales text will do that, but a couple paragraphs will keep them reading.
Also, it's obvious to me from reading the sales text that English isn't your first language. There's nothing wrong with that, but the text just doesn't flow. If you shorten up what you're saying it will be easier to get yourself text that will sell. Just my 2 cents, and I'm no guru. |

Hi Nina and MadMax!
Thank you very mucy for your feedback. I appriciate it! Good idea about the templates. I guess I have had the belife that changing the background colour would make it a new template lol , but I guess I need to make some more changes than that. Yeah, I also think that it might be a good idea to find some other content than sponsors stuff and see if that would improve the situation. Would be interesting to see how much the numbers would improve. At the sites where I have put in a lot of text I have been thinking about the SE. But I guess that I have slightly overdone it lol I guess there is a golden line to keep within when it comes to text also. And the "get the surfer to the sponsors page as quickly as possible" is something that I need to think about. That might be part of the problem. I am selling the free site and not the sponsor as one great post was talking about on the main board. LOL - yeah, my main language is not English. Again a good idea to shorten the text as I find it difficult to make some really hot text. Thanks again for your help! I will start again with some free sites and it will be interesting to see how it will work out! Kalle
