Tgps in their own exclusive domain?

Hi all
I'm going to start making TGP2 s, which I haven't done up to now.
I'm looking at the general organisation of everything. Is there any advantage in giving TGPs their own domain, completely separate from my existing domain which at the moment I use exclusively for free sites?
Thanks in advance

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

The main goal of a TGP is to build traffic, and the best way to do that is thru bookmarkers and returning type-ins... So having a easy domain for them to return to is a real benefit... Domains are cheap, so give them their own...

Any site that you take seriously should have its own domain.

ditto what UW said... if your gonna treat that TGP seriously you should spend that $10 for a domain...

If nothing else, it's nice to have an individual domain so you can make sense of your stats. I could claim pretty sexy traffic figures on a couple of my secondary "link lists" - except they're on domains that also host a lot of my free sites.

I disagree: providing you have already a decent domain name for your gallery traffic it might be to your advantage to use the main index.html (or php/shtml = set in htaccess) for your TGP.
Main advantage: so many surfers try the main url once they find a gallery they like - this way they end up at your TGP = some free traffic from you own galleries.
And you can send all 404 traffic to the main TGP page (you can do that anyway - but this way it's easier...).
