My DMOZ submission

About ten days ago I submitted my http://www.uglyworm.com/ to the DMOZ directory to the category http://dmoz.org/Adult/Computers/Inte...nk_Sites/Free/ and a few days after I have received an e-mail from that category editor:

Quote:
http://www.uglyworm.com/ was not added to http://dmoz.org/Adult/Computers/Inte...nk_Sites/Free/

I've shifted it to the review queue for the category http://dmoz.org/Adult/Computers/Inte...Posts/Variety/

If you want any more information contact that category editor.
At Ugly Worm I list pay sites, AVS sites, free sites and also galleries (this probably leads editor to his verdict). But the number of galleries I list is far behind the number of free sites and I feel UW to be link list, not a tgp and besides that:

1/ there are many sites in that category which list also galleries
2/ if he thinks "he lists galleries", it is a TGP, why would not TGP category editor do the same? He lists free sites, it is a link list, lets shift it there. Where is logic in his verdict?

I sent him an e-mail with such an similar explanation but he responded (cutted):

Quote:
I am very sorry... but as i said your site does not meet that category guidelines...
I have read that category guidelines - http://dmoz.org/Adult/Computers/Inte...Free/desc.html - four times, but I could not find any single I am not complying with. Am I missing something?

Really don't want to be a cry baby, but I am working at Ugly Worm every single day, from programming and design to reviews and link trades and I am trying to make it as good as possible, this is why not to be listed at DMOZ is too bitter pill for me to swallow.

So I would like to ask you if there is still some way to get listed there? What should I do?

PS: I am not complaing about that editor (and I prefer to keep him anonymous), all I am looking for is help to get listed at DMOZ.

I've been submitting to dmoz over 10 years, tons of pages listed, and never once did I get an email from an editor. I probably would think it was some sort of joke if I got an email from dmoz.

In 1999 I got a nice email from an editor telling me I had bunged the affiliate url in an FPA. I thought that was very nice.

Have never gotten another.

The fact that any modern editor sent a letter to an adult webmaster is really quite interesting.

Anybody else seen or heard of similar letters recently?
