Well that is interesting! When we bought our HDT I don't remember dlp being brought up. They do look slimmer which is great. Mine is a 57 inch and the back is a lot bigger than those. It's in a corner so it's not a problem. They are making it sound like it's a better picture. I'm going to have to look at them next time I'm at Best Buy and see the difference.

I was thinking the same thing Sue. I just bought a 55" rear projection lcd tv and these things are about the same price but as slim as a plasma.

DLP's are awesome
They are great for space savers and the samsung has incredible contrast ratio and can do 1080p.
I currently have a DLP HD projector in my home theatre with a 100" screen.

Jim: when I first clicked on your link to the tv and saw them, my first thought was expensive!! But the price is about the same as I paid for mine. That figures as soon as we buy something they come up with something better.

Erick: that must be quite a set up you have with a 100" screen. I think we should have a Super Bowl Party at your house..

when I got my 65 hdtv tosiba they had the dlps but were a lot more at the time, they do have a better picture though and all those hdtv has come way down in price, I think I got mine about 2 and a half yaers ago right when DVI came on them..
