Angry Dreamweaver...WTF???

Help! For some reason while designating my link colors in MX will not change from purple but my roll overs work fine. It looks fine in MX but online it only comes out purple

silly question but are you setting the visited link color also? I believe purple is the default color for that, with blue being the default link color, correct?

Had the same problem once...
Did you check the style sheet?
Maybe the problem is located there.

You're not calling out the link colors for a:visited and a:active. That's probably it right there, since default is purple

Yes, that is the reason.
Combine your 3 main a calls like this:

Another thing... the hover color being the same as the background can/will confuse the less savvy of surfers
