Weird thing last night at 1:15am

Last night my cousin was over and we had just been sitting in my front living room shooting the shit all night. Well at about 1:15am we hear a knock on the door, we are like who the fuck is that. I was expecting either my brother or brother-in-law since they every once in a while will stop by real late since they know I am always up. I look outside and cant see anyone, I look closer and I see someone waving their hand up at me. I open the door and there is some raggedy looking lady I had never seen before in my life. I cautiously open the screen door and she start talking to me, all the while I am looking all around waiting for some dude to jump out from around the corner to try and rob me or something. Well this lady goes on to say something about if I can help her, and how her son is in the Riley Children's hospital in Indianapolis and how she needs 25 dollars because she doesnt have the gas money to get down there, the whole time she is all crying and bawling and shit. I am like I am sorry but we dont even use cash so we never have cash on us (which is the truth). She then asks if I could write her a check, I am now thing WTF what good is a personal check gonna do this bitch at 1:15 in the morning if she needs to get to Indianapolis tonight, she even goes on to say that she gets paid Friday and will pay me back when she gets paid. After I tell her no to writing her a check she says some shit about how she used to know people a couple houses down and they shey dont live there anymore and thats how she ended up in the area, and then she said something else about how she also knew an older couple in the area but couldnt remember where they lived and was wondering if there was an older couple anywhere close that I knew of. By now I am thinking what in the fuck is going on here this is fucking weird. So my cousin and I get to talking about what in the fuck just happened and after we put everything together we are like that made no fucking sense at all. We were wondering now that if she had someone with her and they were going around trying to get older people or women to answer the door and then jump them and rob them. When they saw me answer the door (I am 6' 1 and weigh 240, and my cousin was right there and he is a shorter but stocky strong guy too) they figured they didnt want to fuck with us is what we got to thinking since it was past 1 in the fucking morning. Then I was worried about my neighboors because when she asked about the older couple my dumb ass said well there is an older couple across the street. Then we thought we heard a man's voice outside and we thought oh boy here we go we're getting ready to get robbed, so I go and get my big ass knife ready to hack a could be robber up. My cousin then says maybe we should just call the police and let them know whats going on.

I call the police and tell them what had just happened and the first thing they asked me was did she have long black hair. The lady at the police department then said oh boy what did she have on this time. I was like she had a Pacer jacket and yellow sweat pants on. They then asked me if she said something about someone if her family being in a hospital in Indianapolis and having car problems or something and needing money to get down to Indy. I was like yeah she did. They said well whatever you do dont give her money and if she comes back call us right away and we will take care of it. I am like well should I be worried or anything, she said oh no which a chuckle, said she is harmless and just annoying. So then when my wife gets up to go to work in the morning and I tell her what happened her eyes light up and she is like OH MY GOD. She said that there is articles in the newspaper warning people about her trying to con people for money, and how she targets older people and churches. She even said they talked about her on the local radio station my wife listens to on the way to work warning people about her shit. She then went on to tell me about how she got the pastor at the church that my wife and kids go to and I play on their church softball team.

So after getting all worked up and shit, turns out it was just some crazy old bag lady that is famous for trying to con people out of money, haha.
