hey guys, I am looking to hire a tutor that is familiar with GIMP and NVU to walk me through a couple designs for free sites and I will pay by the hour.

If you want to learn a software just dive right in. Read a lot, experiment and play around with it.

thanks lemmy, I can theorize about the consequences of a smarter than human AI on the human species, but I am having difficulty putting 2+2 together

with uploading my pages onto the server.

LOL, I know what you're talking about. I took a look at the NVU program, and I thought it was confusing too. If you're having problems figuring out how to upload your pages to the server I would suggest getting a stand-alone FTP program. You'll need it sooner or later anyway.

yup... I use Nvu to edit html files and I use Aceftp to upload my pages and images.

The GIMP is cool but it has a real steep learning curve. I prefer PhotoPlus by Serif
