Seems my regular cycle of losing my inbox/sent mails/address book has come around again (joy of joys!), as of this morning my email client has wiped all my accounts, and being a tech-illiterate SOB I hold slightly below zero hopes of recovering any of the info.

No idea in hell wtf happened, client is thunderbird, and an avast scan showed smitrem.exe as having a trojan embedded in it (google showed me that's actually a false alarm, likely I'm infected somewhere but no clue as to where) so first of all I need to wait for the rest of the house to wake up (only 5.30 am here) so I can unleash some Anglo-Saxon vocabulary, slam a few doors, and more than likely call my computer a cunt before kicking/pushing it around before the coup-de-grace of yanking out the power cord really hard instead of shutting it down in the proper manner.

Next port of call is the pub, where I'll bore my mates senseless about wanker virus spreaders and how not only has it cost me a days earnings, but I'm out spending money I'm not earning.

What happens next? Well, tomorrow I'll wake up with a hangover, try another few half-assed attempts at running some scans, then say fuck this and reinstall windows, of course not properly eliminating the cause, and in about 4 months time I get to do all this again

Bottom line - if you sent me an email, are expecting one from me, try to send me an email in the next couple of days; I won't get it, you won't get it, I may get it depending on the timeframe.

Lo and behold I actually managed to recover all my email stuff. Anyone that knows me knows that is within touching distance of a guy that didn't buy a lottery ticket winning the jackpot. Two weeks in a row.
