Help becoming a sponsor
Hi
Could really do with a bit of help and advice Now I have started on freesites and galleries I have been thinking about the next step for my site which looking around the web has got to be becoming a sponsor seems that all the directory’s and link lists require it to get listed So what I am thinking is set up a program around 50% Revshare using ccbill because that’s my processor, had a look at NATS and I cant see a reason to get it as for marketing tools well im stuck there it seems most link lists and TGP worth there salt don’t allow sponsor content so im not sure if there is any point in creating FHG and FHS so instead I am considering providing some sort of access to the site for affiliates to grab what’s needed to create free sites and TGP pages. What are your thoughts because if I launch it as a proper program rather than just a way of just getting listed on directory’s I will probably restrict it to you guys on here as I would much rather build it up slowly with a few good contacts that have the know how. Sorry its a bit long Thanks |

First off let me preface by saying I'm strictly a sponsor marketer, not a sponsor owner, and I'm in no way an old-school expert, so keep that in mind.
I think free hosted materials are a good idea. If it's good quality, smaller players will often use it as a stuffer for their sites, which can bring in a small, steady trickle of sales. Plus, by offering free hosted materials you'll get more attention from bigger players too. But I do like the idea of offering more content to affiliates then what's available free hosted. As a traffic site owner, I'd rather stuff my list with submitted content then add in tons of freehosted sites anyway. ![]() And though there are a lot of stats junkies out there, ccbill gives me everything I need to know about a sponsor - not the least of which is a near-absolute guarantee that I'll get paid, which really works in your favor if you've got a new site. Other than that, the basics: - Perfect your tour (no traffic leaks please). - Offer small steady amounts of fresh content/updates, rather then big but infrequent. - Offer assistance to affiliates who've proven their value. - Fine tune, improve, rinse, dry, repeat... etc. Good luck, ~Some Random Hippy ![]()
