Why do cheaters try and redirect traffic?
What is the incentive? I don't understand why cheaters would be bothered with redirecting traffic from a submitted gallery or free site.
I guess I could understand if they are redirecting to a page with spyware, tool bars, etc. I can kind of understand redirecting for feeder traffic.. But all in all it seems kind of stupid - I would think that you would make more cash and have higher conversions by making a good gallery or free site and giving the surfer what they expect. Am I missing something or are most cheaters just idiots? |

They just want the surfer to go directly to the sponsor with burning any of their own bandwidth. And you're not missing anything, they're all idiots

Problem is, that money becomes difficult to chase, as cheaters are often sent away, and the bridges they crossed get burned once they're identified.
