Just When I thought I was out

They drag me back in again.
Some folks here know I basically took a couple of years off from the biz for of all goddamn things politics. Was still in the biz, just not putting so much time in, like maybe 4 hours a day compared to the 14 I'm putting in now to get caught up to where I was.
This is chit chat so I'm going to ramble a bit.
I wasn't in politics for money, I had a lot of that, I was in it because I'm a Green, and have been a Green since before the idea of a Green Party was ever thunk up.I ended up being the International Secretary for the Green Party of Canada, a non paying job I absolutely loved. Got to talk to people in every corner of this fragile planet, made a lot of good friends.
But it all turned to shit when a former Tory became leader and I found myself the only one on our national council voting against very right wing policies ( I am a southpaw) and eventually I left before getting the bum's rush.

I'm back now, we elected a more grassroots style leader, and the left wing is growing, everyone knows what I do for a living, and very few have a problem with it.

But this time I'm going to have some balance, I'm only going to work one hour a day on politics, and I'm doing OK biz-wise so I'm hoping to cut back to 10 hours a day biz, I've automated a fair bit, so should be able to do that. That leaves roughly 3 hours for just doing fuckall, watching a hockey game, going to the pub or whatever, 3 hours for my wife, when she's not not working, and 7 hours for sleep and bed related stuff.

Shit, is anyone else just so absolutely fucked that adding an hour a day to their sked drives them absolutely nuts
Even when it involves saving the planet and such

Yes, me. Although I am trying to find ways to destroy the planet... not really but hey, one can dream right.

Work schedule sucks and I suddenly found myself with a family. It was like overnight delivery and finding ways to work and maintain a household with 3 children and a woman has been hard on the soul. I manage, but the pockets are suffering in a time that I could use more and more and more money. So yeah, extra hours and trying to maintain the workload is a good task to defeat. Good luck my friend, good luck.
