Ready For Review

It has took me long enough and hopefully with the help of members from this board I have my first site ready for review... Not all my own work, hubby helped a lot too... Actually he did most of it... So please feel free for any constructive criticism (I brought the content). Useless Please tell me also if it is one you would accept as I ensured the domain was not proxy...

Other than your 2257 link not working (looks like it's linked to your HD), I think you got it right on your first try.

I wouldn't have any problems listing your site.

That's a fine looking site...well done to you and your hubby

The only thing I noticed is that your 2257 link is linked to your local drive. One of those simple whoops kinda things

Thank you both, I looked at your site Mr Yum and was not sure if you would include it in panties as I did not see a pantyhose category?

Yup, I put most all pantyhose sites into the panties category. Once in while if the babe is really 'leggy', I'll drop one into the legs n feet category...but that's pretty rare.

, that hidden whois policy isn't just mine. I happen to be vocal about it, that's all. I'm pretty passive as a reviewer these days because I've been spoiled by being partner-only for so long. I'm much meaner when I review for other list owners.

The site looks good, especially for a first one. Over time you'll develop a style of your own they'll become increasing easier to construct. I certainly considerate it to be listable. It's very clean and easy to navigate.

One of the text links on the first gallery uses the word 'Enter'. Some reviewers will decline you for using Enter anywhere except for the free site's own Enter link. Surfers have been trained to think of Enter as some sort of mystical portal to free porn, so it may or may not be an issue. It would be a major issue on the index/warning page, but it's not, so that'll come down to the individual reviewer's discretion.

Also, make sure you add the free site's title in the <title> section of the head on the index and main pages.

Good job SaucyPanties, my only suggestion would be to have an unlinked URL to the 2257 page. If someone needs to see it they can always cut and paste it to the browser and it's one less possible traffic leak.

Now I have been a more 'active' member of this bored and I am getting used to members 'posting' styles, thanks for the comments, appreciated you taking the time to look... I have changed the Enter text on the mentioned page, better safe than sorry.

plateman & fonz - I have removed the word Young from the gallery, this was text grabbed from the sponsors page for affiliates to use. I looked once at it and thought Mmmm then I thought nothing of it and that it would be fine. Now two different people have mentioned it again, better safe than sorry. Removed

That's something almost anyone would have snagged you for as well, including me, if I had seen it. I would have caught it on a teen site because that's when I'm looking out for it. Figures, I'd see the word Enter one line below and never read the text just above.

Just tried submitting to you and I kept getting a warningg cannot retrieve page error message... I even tried adding index.htm http://www.hardrated.com/Pantyhose/index.htm

If I get an idea for a new project, or a way to improve another, I find myself caught in what I like to call "a loop of agitated contemplation". That's usually why you'll see me awake and posting at strange hours.

It worked this time but I had to put the /index.htm on the end. It could not find the warning page if I left it as http://www.hardrated.com/Pantyhose

Nearly all the lists I submitted to, sent an email confirmation that details had been received. Three kindly sent emails back within around 24 hours saying listed, one other has listed but I only know this as I found it on their site. Is it general practice that most link list owners email you informing you one way or another if you have been listed and if I do not hear back or cannot find a reciprocal what is the standard expectations... I mean assuming I was not listed after 6-7 days can I remove the table and apply eslewhere or is this too soon. When do you enquire if everything is okay, I know I am probably being impatient as its the first one?

Being impatient is pretty normal on the first one

However, some sites can take weeks to months to get listed. Actually, there's one that comes to mind that well over a year...

It's quite impossible to say how long one 'should' wait before getting impatient, due to the individual nature of each list. Many subscribe to the 'submit it and forget it' methodology. Within reason of course...

Myself, I'd say if you're not listed within a month...either send a message to the webmaster, ask in these forums...or dump em.

Oh, and no...not all lists send acceptance/rejection mails. It's one of those learning curve things to figure out who's who and who does what...
