Ip Adresses and SEO
A few months ago I bought a few domains to build freesites on. I thought that I had seperate IP addresses for each one but I didn't (completley my mistake not my hosting company). Now my question is this if I switch my domains to seperate IP's will that affect freesites that are in googles search results?

Where there's a will, I want to be in it.

It shouldn't. My host recently changed all their IP addresses (not sure why, they called it an "IP Migration") and it didn't effect SE rankings at all.

If your free sites are in separate folders within your document root and what's in your document root is SE friendly, the SEs bots will crawl down into the folders and index what's in them, i.e. your free sites, sooner or later. Just make sure there's enough plain text there for them to read.
The IPs are not too important in that respect. You won't gain anything by changing them. |
