Worth a trial: Domains for free instead of selling?

As I know for a fact it's so much easier to take a 10 year old site and build up SE traffic than buying a new domain and starting from scratch. However, I find it difficult to find buyers for aged domains that appreciate this value. Well, maybe they do, but in most cases they either believe I am desperate for 10 bucks or short of funds to extend registration. Of course that's not the case. I am just giving up on some niches like smother, lesbian, bukkake, cumshots.

My idea: I will give away some domains for free in exchange for backlinks. Now, my question is: how can I make sure buyers will keep up links after I push domains over to them?

1. sign a contract
2. only deal with someone you can trust

I agree with Terry, deal with people you personally trust, or who are trusted by people you trust.

you must at the very least have the person sign a legally binding contract (which you can download free online,just google it)

Aged domains and aged sites are 2 very different things in the eyes of the SEs these days for the msot part, which is most likely why you aren't getting any extra as far as more $$$ to more years the domain has been reg'd.

As far as making sure links stay up, really all you can do is deal with people you trust - even a contract if you are dealing with people outside your own country is hard to uphold (and it's a pita upholding one even in your own country/town).
