I know you guys probably hear this kind of stuff all the time, but....

I've been away from the business for a while, and recently started building sites again.

Just wondering why I can't get them listed.... I followed all of (used GG's rules as a guide) the rules to the letter, and not having much luck.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi rege02

Your warning page has 3 links to the sponsor and Tommy only likes 2

Your main page has 4 links to sponosrs and generally 3 is the upper limit with most lists, plus those links to your other free sites might be an issue.

It always pays to read the rules of each list you are submitting to, rather than use one as an overall guide.

First off... I think you have WAY too much content there for a free site. You don't need 2 galleries, 12 stories, daily pics, etc...

Also, free sites hosted on its own domain would make me wonder if i was a linklist owner. How long before that page changes?

Also the "content" area of the site "visually" is very small. The site map looks almost like a banner on the left side of the page... i've been doing this for years and i almost found your site difficult to navigate.

I'd suggest bigger gallery links, less content, and i think you'd get better conversions with niche specific ads. Simplify it a little. The links to your other free sites are good for PR, but will a niche surfer really be interested in all of those other niche's? probably not.

also i find the warning page is very large... i don't know about everyone else but i really don't like alot of ads on the warning/index page. It makes it look messy.

IMO, the purpose of that page is to filter out the minors, not upsell to your sponsors... save that for the main/gallery pages.

Rege,

We "almost" listed but felt the content was over-compressed.

Though your site breaks a few of the rules of the modern-day linklist, I can see how it fits prefectly for a free site from a few years ago.

Unfortunately due to the number of "abusers" many LL's have had to tighten their rules to keep the scammers out.

A free site these days actually offers less to the surfer than they used to...

You will probably have to change your building to get sites listed these days.

I personally think the big "CLICK HERE" on the warning page looks like the entrance to the site. Many surfers will think so as well.
