Hi everyone, I am Clam. I signed up for an account on this board quite a while ago, but never really posted much. Well, I would like to correct that.

I am new to link lists and free sites. I have built and submitted one and it was listed by several lists. I have a couple more that I have done, but I am in the middle of a server move and I don't want to make updates that might be lost...

Hi there

I listed the above site. I see a few things that could be changed in the future, like the recip table. Most places these days are ok with simple text recips.

Really? That would look a lot better. I was going to try that but I was afraid I would start off on a bad foot with some of the lists. Gotta watch my reputation.

Simple custom text recips are way better these days. But for some reason we all have our big text-button up on our submit page

I checked and had not listed it. Might of been one of those, who the hell is this delete it days. I fixed that so it's listed today.

simple recips are better!

So, how many text recips would you recommend on a page? In the site I listed, I used 8. I want to add more lists, so should I stick to 8 per page with multiple entry pages or can I do more links?

Always best to look through a couple of LL's listings to see what is getting listed.

You could go up to 20 with the 1 line custom simple recip text like in this one:

Thou it might be better if you keep it around 12 to 16. Gotta see what works best for you so experiment. Mine can go anywhere from 6 to 20 depending on what I am trying to accomplish with that freesite or time available to submit.

Hiya Clam.. nice looking site for a first try. I agree on the recip table. I have had very very few sites balk at a nice text recip. Most don't even require categories these days. Other than that, submit away...
