Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

Error Traffic 404 & 403
Do any of you guys get any signs from redirecting your error traffic, and at what conversion rate?
Should I cross link my error page directly to a sponsor or do a full page add? Thanks |

I try to properly code my sites so there is no error traffic
![]() Seriously, I dump most of it onto one domain that has a FPA on the index, but I never really bothered to keep track of how it does, as there's legit traffic going to that page as well. |

Internet! Is that thing still around?

I use toolbar sponsors on my 404 pages, this allows me to pay hosting

Live and learn. And take very careful notes!

on this moment i use alot of my domains on the 404, 403 etc the link of my LL this because its a linksites not that old and want to build more traffic to it, i have to say from huge tgp inksites you get a good amound on the 404.lol, it looks that tgp surfers are more sniffing around your domains to find more.

GG,
I too have plenty of 404 & 403 hits. How do you config an index.html page come up when you get a 404 or 403 situation? ![]() |

Well, if someone is poking around looking for a directory of pics, having an index.html page in the directory will cause them to not see the directory. You can also have your host set the default setting on the server so that directory browsing is turned off.
403's should realy only be happening on password protected areas. 404's shouldn't be happening at all ![]() |

I reserve 404's for hot linkers, other than that I can usually count on one hand how many 404's I get in a quarter.
