I can't convey enough how much influence Steve Krug's book has had on me and feel it's the overall best possible tip of the bunch.

Any time I get stuck I glance Steve's book and it helps. Those of us who make our own sites sometimes can't see the forrest before the trees 'cos we're too into a particular aspect.

Nope - don't know the guy nor have I used his services. When I first read the book it opened a HUGE part of my brain. "Don't Make me think" made ME think *a lot*...and then some more.
