Forums, Search Engines/Directories, Toplists, Linkdumps... really, you can promote your site everywhere you find suitable, but if you want to submit to TGP's and LL's you have to build galleries and/or freesites suitable to the rules of those.
You can even build traffic on your own site by building in directories under your mainsite  |
