Here in beautiful downtown Brampton Ontario, it's not unusual for Sikhs to try to kill Sikhs over "temple disputes".
When I was 12 my Dad tried to enroll me in The Boys Brigades, an offshoot of the local Baptist Church. Basically a paramilitary damn near fascist outfit where blind obedience to your 14 year old commander was mandatory. He thought it might bring me closer to the Big Guy. I went to one meeting and got into a fist fight (which I lost badly), and said fuck it, doubt they wanted me back anyways. Nothing against religion though, I still consider myself a Christian, but I have no use for churches, preachers, priests, and such. Jesus hung out with the whores, the publicans, the fishermen and the adulterers, and those are also my kind of people ![]() The problem with organized religion is the pompous hypocritical assholes who run the show and draw the paychecks.
