Yet another thinking outside the box
Hi,
i would like to tell you about possibilities i see to make "toplists" better: The general problem with toplists is, that they are crap for the user. They only frustrate the user. Nothing more. For the webmaster receiving traffic from a toplist, this traffic is not targeted enough. So how to fix this? I build a feature into my site (poornpig.com), which is a real searchengine, with less restictions and more possibilities. It is a combination between toplist and searchengine advertising. How does it work? A Webmaster is able to create "ads" with keywords, after signing up. These ads can be changed if needed. You can even change the keywords. These ads are displayed above the search results if the keyword(s) match(es). There will be only one "ad" per page! What does this have to do with toplists? The ranking of the ads is toplist like. Hardlinks? Currently no, but this is fixed in 7.5 minutes. But there will be no outgoing statistics. Take a look on my signature. |
