How often should your resubmit free sites and galleries?

With some lists your link is permanent, some you fall off after a certain time, and yet with others you only fall off if you do not update the site.

Personally I build and forget. You usually do pick up SE listings by having been listed at the link lists so it is like your site no longer gets traffic even after many of the lists have dropped you.

Also by adding your sites to a hub and adding a link on all of the stuff that you build back to this hub you can build up your own traffic, don't forget to add lots of sponsor links to your hub in addition to your sites.

Be real careful about resubmitting any of your stuff as if it is still listed it could get your blacklisted for duplicate submissions.

For me my time is better spent building new stuff.
