There are a few things I have seen in the sites submitted recently that I would like to address.. some are just little things, and some are errors or tricks I just think aren't good/fair/or sensible.

1. Put a trailing slash on the end of your domain.

This is a really simple one...

http://www.yourdomain.com - this is wrong

http://www.yourdomain.com/ - this is right


2. Use the right case in the description.

Captialising the first letter of every word of the description may be right for some sites.. but for many including mine dont do that...

So look at the LL you are submitting and use the cAsE that each uses.

Using the 'wrong' case just gives the reviewer a reason reject you.



Other things that are just wrong IMO........


3. Underlined Links vs Non-Underlined Links

I am seeing this more and more and it has always been an INSTANT rejection reason...

'underlining' sponsor links and 'not underlining' navigation links is just deceptive bullshit, and if that is how you have to sell.. you should give up now...


4. The enter link is the smallest text on the page.. (or nearly the smallest)

Again this is just a deceptive tactic.. and has been a rejection reason for many years..


5. Enter link is the last thing on the page... ( or nearly the last)

This is usually tied in with No.4

A CLEAR , VISIBLE and UNOBSTRUCTED enter link is a standard requirement.


6. Gallery Navigation Thumbnails not linked

Ummm I have never understood why people do this... There is a text link to the gallery on the main page, and there is a thumbnail too.. but the thumb is not linked???

Link the thumb as well.. it is what people click on!



7. Gallery and Enter links not visible at 1280x1024

This one I have believe is always a fundamental... Have clear navigation that doesn't require scrolling , hunting, and close examination. I am seeing HUGE headers, and ads that occupy an entire screen.


8. Enter OR something else

Like No. 4 and no. 5 this one is just a simple requirement... A CLEAR , VISIBLE and UNOBSTRUCTED enter link - not a question about wether you want to enter or go somewhere else.....


Just give them an ENTER link.....
