About Starting a new LL

Colocation is awesome, and it is a great mood. I have the niched and microniched LLs going because I think other freesite and gallery builders are like me - they want a niched list to submit to but can't find many active ones. I know that some search engines pay more attention to how relevant your links are compared to the number of them (which was one reason behind the category links for the LLs). Is it still true today? I would say probably yes based on the relatively few LLs that want a general recip versus category. My little LLs just offer an additional choice. They also offer a playground for me to experiment in things like a vidpost (single video on a single page, much like a pic post) - toys that may not be submitted everywhere but let me try new things.
