if they are insisting on doing it a way that you are not comfortable doing it, then don't do it or try to work it so that you are comfortable with it, if they still insist I would walk away... and as for having a stranger vouch for another stranger, that wouldn't be a good reason for me to trust somebody.... just my 2 cents
