redesign and update

hi,
im new here,, just starting out ..
iv been reading,, get info here

i did some redesign and some updating of my site

i added some more content,, more sponsers etc...

im gonna add soon...a referal program,,too trade links with other people,, vice versa

some of my friends that looked at the site says it needs something...

i like designing simple things, as i feel the visitor comes just to the site, and wants the good stuff... i could build a more flasher site ,, is that what it needs??

i look at site like freeones.com and lucianos links and see how they get alot of visitors but very simple designs., of course i dont have the visitors yet,, just starting out so...

but , any opinions,, tips,, helps, are welcomed
