![]() After much heming and hawing I'll be starting design on a new link list shortly. Fetish Philes is ready for a sister site, and I'm going to try and get things launched by the 1 year anniversary of Fetish Philes. I'll be cloning the Fetish Philes database and keeping the best listings on the new LL recip free as a bonus for my loyal submitters.
I'm going to do things a bit differently with this site, and I'd like to get the opinions of as many of my valued submitters as possible before I go headlong into development. I'm thinking about doing a few different things with categories and recips due to the fact that so many people (not you guys, thankfully ![]() The new site will have even more categories than Fetish Philes (Imagine!), so I'm considering departing from the standard path with my recips. These are the things I'm considering, so I'd love to get a "yay" or "nay" on each one with some reasoning so I know where you're coming from. 1) One general recip and I pick the category based on content and sponsor. You know I'll list it in the right place, and this avoids category recips all together. I hesitate when considering this option because I know people generally group their general recip LLs together, which may mean that my new LL's recip will never be on the same pages as the big guys. I have SEO concerns on this one as well. 2) Pseudo-niche recips. For example, one recip to put on all ethnic sites - ebony, indian, latina, asian etc., another recip for BDSM sites - femdom, bondage, etc., one more for fetish sites - pantyhose, latex, feet, and so on. In this case I would list which cats are covered by each recip, but I have concerns about this turning into a total debacle of people getting confused. 3) Regular Ol' Category Recips Looking forward to your opinions. |
