301 redirect & mr. google ?

Hi guys, here is little introduction....
everybody knows that adult sponsors pay sites existance is dynamic, during the time appear some of new sites but also some of old are deleted...
So for keeping an old pages on my reviewer rises an idea of this 301 (google friendly) redirect to one of my other relevat category pages & then this question!
How google treates these old pages?
If old pages are a part of internal linking network - are they still been counted as a full powered pages?
Is their pr lost?
