Press DEL For Setup

One of my dogs (a sister to the one shown in my avatar) caught herself in the one stray wire under my desk (all the others are neatly? stuffed behind a freezer basket) causing the circuit breaker to trip in and switch the whole lot off.
So I power up and the familiar black screen appears with memory info and such, and then it freezes with a message at the lower left saying "Press DEL for setup".
That's all well and good but I've got a Microsoft wireless keyboard (comfort version) and at that stage of the proceedings it wasn't functioning.
To cut a long story short I had to dig out an old PS2 keyboard which I'd long ago cast aside due to a large percentage of its keys having been rendered defunct by splashes of cider and beer, and lucky for me one of the few keys which had retained their function was the DEL key.
I was then able to get through the setup (I didn't change anything, I didn't understand most of it) and voila - the system booted up.

The moral here is that if you're using a wireless keyboard, always keep on hand an old ps2 keyboard for emergencies.
