Some people who have started off like you have spend the rest of their online lives trying to explain and are never given the benefit of the doubt again.

I give my trust to someone I don't know since I'm optimistic by nature. However if you violate that trust it takes a hell of a lot to get right. Not to mention the time. It doesn't matter what is said immediately after something like this it is what you do in the coming months and years that either proves you want to be honest or dishonest.
