question about story content

Cencoring the written word, prosecuting and incarcerating people for their writings. Now there's a slippery slope if there ever was one.

I hate pedos and sexual predators as much as the next guy. I don't necessarily hate all authors who include such material in their books.

I understand the difference between a story with passages that might seem distateful, but are "valid" as parts of a greater work of fiction, and a smut story written by and aimed solely at a twisted, sick audience, but I'm not sure if we can make that distinction work legally.

The whole idea just sounds too much like thought control too me.
