I treat them as a way to keep surfer attention in certain places, and nothing more. I've made less then $50 total on hosted galleries.
Most sponsor hosted galleries just don't sell for shit for me compared to my own galleries/freesites. I suspect it's the 900 gigs of graphics and auto-play-embedded-videos they stuff 'em with.
