What do LLs think about hot link protected videos?

I assume everyone has hot linking protection on their images, so one could assume that if the videos were hot link protected as well it would be ok.. However, because of the way video hot link protection works, there might be some issues.

So I finally sat down and figured out a relatively "simple" way to protect my videos.. But before I implement it I want to find out if LLs would have an issue with it... Basically, the surfer has to have accessed a page on the site in order to be able to play the videos. I'm thinking of having their access "time out" after an hour as opposed to just a few minutes like most other protection schemes... So if a reviewer came along and was reviewing my site, went away for an hour, and then came back and tried to play a video it would appear 404. Other than that, they'd never know...

So would this be an issue for LLs? Longer timeout maybe??
